The Buddha Speaks of Amitābha Sūtra 

Translated into Chinese during the Yao-Qin Dynasty by Tripiṭaka Master Kumārajīva of Kucha

།།རྒྱ་གར་སྐད་དུ། ཨཱརྱ་སུ་ཁ་བ་ཏི་བྱཱུ་ཧ་ནཱ་མ་མ་ཧཱ་ཡཱ་ན་སཱུ་ཏྲ། 

བོད་སྐད་དུ་འཕགས་པ་བདེ་བ་ཅན་གྱི་བཀོད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཐེག་པ་ཆེན་པོའི་མདོ། སངས་རྒྱས་དང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།

Homage to all the buddhas and bodhisattvas. 

如是我闻。一时佛在舍卫国，祇树给孤独园。与大比丘僧，千二百五十人俱，皆是大阿罗汉，众所知识：长老舍利弗、摩诃目犍连、摩诃迦叶、摩诃迦旃延、摩诃俱絺罗、离婆多、周利槃陀伽、难陀、阿难陀、罗侯罗、憍梵波提、宾头卢颇罗堕、迦留陀夷、摩诃劫宾那、薄拘罗、阿那楼驮，如是等诸大弟子。并诸菩萨摩诃萨：文殊师利法王子、阿逸多菩萨、乾陀诃提菩萨、常精进菩萨，与如是等诸

大菩萨。及释提桓因等，无量诸天大众俱。

1. Thus have I heard. At one time the Buddha was dwelling at Prince Jeta’s Grove in Anāthapiṇḍika’s Park in Śrāvastī together with a great assembly of 1,250 bhikṣu[注]s, all great arhats well known to everyone. Among them were the Elder Śāriputra,

Mahāmaudgalyāyana, Mahākāśyapa, Mahākātyāyana, Mahākauṣṭhila, Revata,

Śuddhipaṃthaka, Nanda, Ānanda, Rāhula, Gavāṃpati, Piṇḍola-Bhāradvāja,

Kālodayin, Mahākapphiṇa, Vakkula, Aniruddha, and other such great disciples. He was also accompanied

by many bodhisattva mahāsattvas: Mañjuśrī Prince of the Dharma, 

Bodhisattva Ajita, Bodhisattva Gandhahastin, Bodhisattva

Nidyodyukta, and other such great bodhisattvas. Also, Śakra, king of the gods and others, an immeasurable assembly of  all the gods, were present.

།འདི་སྐད་བདག་གིས་ཐོས་པ་དུས་གཅིག་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་མཉན་ཡོད་ན། རྒྱལ་བུ་རྒྱལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཚལ་མགོན་མེད་ཟས་སྦྱིན་གྱི་ཀུན་དགའ་ར་བ་ན་དགེ་སློང་སྟོང་ཉིས་བརྒྱ་ལྔ་བཅུའི་དགེ་སློང་གི་དགེ་འདུན་ཆེན་པོ་གནས་བརྟན་ཉན་ཐོས་ཆེན་པོ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཤ་སྟག་ལ་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ་གནས་བརྟན་ཤཱ་རིའི་བུ་དང། མཽངྒལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་དང། འོད་སྲུང་ཆེན་པོ་དང། ཀཱ་ཏྱཱའི་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་དང། ཀ་པི་ན་ཆེན་པོ་དང། གསུས་པོ་ཆེ་དང། ནམ་གྲུ་དང། ལམ་ཕྲན་བསྟན་དང། དགའ་བོ་དང། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དང། སྒྲ་གཅན་ཟིན་དང། བ་ལང་བདག་དང། བྷ་ར་བཧྭ་ཛ་དང་འཆར་བྱེད་ནག་པོ་དང། བ་ཀུ་ལ་དང། མ་འགགས་པ་དང། དེ་དག་དང་ཉན་ཐོས་ཆེན་པོ་གཞན་དག་དང། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་མང་པོ་ལ་འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ། འཇམ་དཔལ་གཞོན་ནུར་གྱུར་པ་དང། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་མི་ཕམ་པ་དང། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་སྤོས་ཀྱི་གླང་པོ་དང། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་རྟག་ཏུ་བརྩོན་དང། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་བརྩོན་པ་མི་འདོར་བ་དང། དེ་དག་དང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་གཞན་མང་པོ་དག་དང་ལྷའི་དབང་པོ་བརྒྱ་བྱིན་དང། མི་མཇེད་ཀྱི་བདག་པོ་ཚངས་པ་དང། དེ་དག་དང་ལྷ་བྱེ་བ་ཁྲག་བཞུགས་ཏེ།

1. Thus did I hear at one time. The Bhagavān was dwelling in Anāthapiṇḍaḍa’s park in the Jeta Grove in Śrāvastī, along with a large monastic saṅgha of 1,250 bhikṣus[注],  all of them great elders, śrāvakas, and arhats, such as the Elder Śāriputra, Mahāmaudgalyāyana, Mahākāśyapa, Mahākātyayāna,  Mahākapphiṇa, Mahākauṣṭhila, Revata, Śuddhipaṃthaka, Nanda, Ānanda, Rāhula, Gavāṃpati, Bharadvāja, Kalodayin, Vakula, and Aniruddha. He dwelt with these and other great śrāvakas and with many bodhisattva mahāsattvas, such as the youthful Mañjuśrī, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Ajita, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Gandhahastin, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Nityodyukta, and the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva Anikṣiptadhura, along with many other bodhisattva mahāsattvas. He was also accompanied by Indra, the lord of gods, and Brahmā, the ruler of the Sahā world, along with many myriads of gods.
